Lacey Chabert
Biography
Lacey Nicole Chabert, a true southerner, was born and brought up in Purvis, Mississippi. Her mom is Julie Chabert and dad is Tony Chabert, a Louisiana man speaking French and has Cajun descent. Even at young age of seven she was magnetized by stages dances and acting and her flair for these were clearly evident at that age itself. At an age of nine she came to the finals of a star search for junior vocalists. This bought many opportunities knocking at her door including many commercials. But with her heart in acting she moved over to Broadway where she portrayed Cosette in the smash hit, les misrabels.
But the single show that was to change her entire life came in the year 1994, party of five. This show debuted in fox and she played the role of Claudia. This show was an enormous hit and ran continuous for six years. Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt were her co-stars in this production and both struck gold. It was widely acknowledged she was third and she proved hem right. With beautiful brown hair, hazel eyes, luscious lips and a agonizingly cute body she could gone on doing teeny roles and ensured a big pay check for herself. Instead she has chosen the hard way out doing roles of essence and substance and avoiding ones that would type cast her or just uses her as a dummy.
Chabert acted in The Brooke Ellison Story, which is based on a true-life incident. She played Brooke Ellison, a quadriplegic woman who overcame many obstacles to graduate from Harvard. She also lent her voice to Eliza Thornberry, for the animated series “The Wild Thornberries”. She also voiced for the same character in the two Wild Thornberry movies too. She also put down several MTV offers and went on to make two of her own independent films. Both of them Hometown Legend and The Scoundrel's Wife were critically acclaimed and garnered her performer icon. She also got the commercial exposure, which was bit lacking in her resume in the year 2003 when she acted in film Daddy Day Care opposite Eddie Murphy. Her good run continued in the form of Gretchen in Mean Girls (2004) and in two made for TV movies “Hello Sister and “Goodbye Life”.
What makes Chabert stand out from the crow is her unflinching and unchanged way of moving towards her goals as she has evolved from an adorable petite teen to a sexy and stunning woman. She got two consecutive Young Star award from Holy Wood reporter for best performing young actress for her role of Claudia in the serial Party of Five in the year 1997 and 1998. She also won the MTV movie award for The Best On Screen Team in the year 2005.
She is a staunch Christian and has said all her success should go to the glory of god.
